Features: Big and waxy, the Buddha's hand citron looks like something you might find growing on a coral reef. In Asia, it is commonly given as a gift and used mostly as an aromatic centerpiece. It’s a hybridized citron, one of the original citrus fruits that gave rise to lemons. It has no juice or flesh, just mild pith and lots of peel.

Origin: California

Flavor Profile: Though esteemed chiefly for its exquisite form and aroma, the Buddha’s hand fruit can also be eaten often as a zest or flavoring in savory dishes, cocktails, desserts.
