Features: Green Almonds are a younger version of the commonly known nut. They are fuzzy and green, and can be consumed whole or split open. It is the soft and gelatinous inside that will eventually turn into the nut.  They are best picked in the 6-8 week period from April to June.

Origin: California    

Appearance & Flavor: The shell is slightly bitter and the inside is soft and gelatinous with a mild almond flavor.
