Wild Sierra Plums

Features: Sierra plums are smaller than standard plums, firm and often two-toned yellow and red. As the sierra plum ripens it reddens further, but they are often ripe and sweet when they are still mottled. They are found in limited areas between California and Oregon and the foothills and crags of the Sierra Nevada (hence its name).

Origin: California and Oregon

Flavor Profile: Sweet and tart with a flavor most commenly associated with plums, taught skin with particularly noted acidity right below the surface.

Season: Late Spring to Mid Summer
