Features: This variety has brown-black outer skin and dark flesh with marbled white veins that darken with age. The black winter truffle is one of the most recognized and expensive, truffles. They generally grow as large as 4 inches but have been known to grow to several pounds—the largest recorded winter black truffle recorded is 2.82 pounds.
